The last years have seen a proliferation of nomenclature systems for medical devices in use in various jurisdictions. A nomenclature is necessary to support a well-functioning regulatory system, including the registration of devices and reporting of incidents.
This workshop is an opportunity to gain a first-hand overview of the different nomenclatures in use, including EMDN and the WHO initiative for an international nomenclature for medical devices. It is also a great occasion to discuss with experts in the field how to achieve better alignment between the different systems
